Environment

MANAGING TECHNOLOGY is committed to meeting the carbon reduction demands of the high-end European luxury supply chain while actively pursuing energy conservation and carbon reduction. We have successfully reduced carbon emissions by 75% and electricity consumption by 50%, thanks to the introduction of energy monitoring systems, intelligent management, and the latest energy-efficient high vacuum furnace systems.

Our facility is equipped with 30 smart meters and 1 smart water meter, integrated with our MES system, which allows us to immediately detect energy consumption and processing anomalies. This integration has enabled us to save approximately 200,000 kWh annually, reducing electricity costs by USD$23,500. We have passed the ISO 14000 environmental management system certification and implemented product lifecycle assessments to ensure that environmental standards are upheld, steadily building a global green supply chain.

In addition, we comply with government environmental regulations and use the most eco-friendly surface treatment processes, minimizing pollution sources. We are committed to long-term energy-saving and carbon reduction goals, with a plan to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

Conflict Minerals Policy Statement

Commitment to Sustainable Sourcing Practices

MANAGING TECHNOLOGY is fully committed to responsible sourcing practices, understanding the significant impact that conflict minerals can have on society and the environment. As the only surface treatment supplier in Taiwan approved to produce components for a renowned French luxury brand, we prioritize sourcing minerals responsibly to ensure a positive impact on global sustainability.

We pledge to comply with the Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative (CFSI) and the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) guidelines. Our commitment extends to ensuring all of our suppliers follow relevant regulations and are continuously working to limit or eliminate harmful substances in their operations.

Our Core Commitment to Responsible Sourcing

We strictly adhere to our Conflict-Free Minerals Policy. We ensure that no minerals sourced from conflict zones such as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or its neighboring countries are used in our supply chain. This includes rejecting minerals like cobalt, gold, tantalum, tin, and tungsten that finance armed conflict. This commitment is driven by both our ethical responsibility and our dedication to fostering sustainable practices across the supply chain.

We recognize that this policy not only supports ethical sourcing but also strengthens our contributions to social sustainability and ensures we maintain a responsible supply chain.

Ongoing Evaluation & Compliance Improvement

Each year, we review our smelters and refiners based on the RBA’s “Conformant Smelters List”, ensuring our materials align with the latest standards. Additionally, we require full transparency from our suppliers regarding the source of their minerals, guaranteeing compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Our conflict minerals management process ensures that we stay ahead of regulatory and customer expectations, including:

  • Quarterly Investigations: We conduct regular surveys to stay in compliance with the latest OECD and RMI standards.
  • Due Diligence: We are committed to using only minerals sourced from 100% RMI-conformant smelters and refiners.
  • Corrective Action: We continuously assess the compliance of minerals used by our suppliers, guiding them to improve or removing non-compliant materials as necessary.

We are committed to promoting responsible and sustainable sourcing across the entire supply chain. We believe that our efforts in conflict-free sourcing will make a significant contribution to social and environmental sustainability. We appreciate the ongoing cooperation from our suppliers, and together, we can continue to work towards a brighter, more sustainable future. Thank you for supporting responsible sourcing and helping us drive sustainable practices forward.

Supplier Sustainability Development

MANAGING TECHNOLOGY firmly believe that the sustainable development of our supply chain is a key factor in our corporate success in the global market. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of supply chain management to ensure all suppliers meet environmental and social responsibility requirements throughout the production process.

Our Supply Chain Management Principles

As Taiwan’s exclusive surface treatment supplier for a prestigious French luxury brand, we understand the critical importance of responsibly sourced minerals for both society and the environment.

We follow the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) Conflict-Free Sourcing Policy, which drives our commitment to ensuring that all suppliers comply with relevant regulations. We work toward progressively limiting or eliminating the use of harmful chemicals throughout our supply chain.

Our Core Commitment

We require all our suppliers to gradually phase out or prohibit the use of harmful chemicals. This is part of our regular auditing process, which takes place annually. Suppliers found in violation are provided with guidance and incorporated into our improvement plans to ensure long-term sustainability in our supply chain. In addition, we maintain rigorous approval processes for parts, materials, and product inspections to ensure compliance with international regulations and MANAGING TECHNOLOGY's high-quality standards.

Supplier Selection and Evaluation at MANAGING TECHNOLOGY

Our supplier management system is designed to build a sustainable, future-ready supply chain. This system includes the following four key components:

  • New Supplier Evaluation: We conduct thorough evaluations of all new suppliers, examining legal sourcing, product quality, waste management, employee diversity, recyclable materials, and financial sustainability. This careful screening ensures that every partner aligns with MANAGING TECHNOLOGY's stringent standards, providing both stability and competitiveness to our supply chain while driving sustainable growth.
  • Annual Supplier Evaluation: Every year, we carry out a comprehensive assessment of our suppliers. Suppliers who do not meet our expectations are provided with improvement guidance. This ongoing evaluation helps us maintain high standards, ensuring product consistency, legal procurement practices, delivery reliability, and risk mitigation. Supplier evaluations enhance customer satisfaction, improve loyalty, and strengthen our company’s competitiveness globally.
  • Supplier Audit Management: To ensure compliance and continuous improvement, we conduct regular audits of both new and existing suppliers, as well as key contractors. These audits focus on technical performance, the use of recyclable materials, conflict minerals compliance, and harmful substances usage. Through these audits, we ensure the long-term sustainability of our supply chain while improving the quality of products and services.
  • Supplier Quality System Promotion: We require all suppliers to adopt and pass international certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. This guarantees that their management systems meet the highest global standards. Our team tracks implementation progress and works with suppliers to monitor improvements, ensuring continuous enhancement of both quality and sustainability across the supply chain.

Commitment to Conflict-Free Mineral Sourcing

We are firmly committed to not supporting or using conflict minerals that originate from war zones or environments with unsafe working conditions. If conflict minerals are necessary for production, we require suppliers to submit a removal plan and provide proof that new mineral sources comply with RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) standards.

This commitment underscores our ethical stance on responsible sourcing practices and our contribution to the long-term sustainability of the environment and society. By ensuring all minerals are responsibly sourced, we support a global push for sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Through these ongoing initiatives, MANAGING TECHNOLOGY is fostering a responsible, high-quality, and sustainable supply chain that benefits our company, our partners, and the world at large. We are dedicated to creating a lasting, positive impact through our efforts in environmental stewardship, responsible procurement, and social responsibility.
